As a professional or aspiring actor your headshot is the most important part of your marketing kit. It is your calling card for agents and casting directors. A good headshot will help you stick out from the crowd, get you noticed and most importantly get you those auditions.
Casting directors prefer to see images that are a true likeness of you and it is important to choose a headshot photographer who will not over edit your images. Working together we will plan and create a set of headshots that are true to the real you whilst showing a variety of looks that you have in your reportoire and that directors like to see.
As your headshot photographer I will guarantee the following …

- A portfolio review of your existing headshots to see where you would like to go with this shoot
- Studio and or location photography available
- A choice of backdrops from dark or mid to light

Your consultation
Before we start shooting we can chat over the phone or in person about your precise requirements for your headshot photography. Do you need these headshots for Spotlight or Casting Call Pro for instance. What type and number of looks are needed?
Studio or Location
Depending upon your requirements we can have a studio photo shoot or use a nearby location. For more creative imagery or in the winter months my studio is absolutely perfect.
What to wear for your headshot photography session
Bring a variety of tops with you to try a few different looks, I usually find that up to four changes are plenty but you can always bring more. Guys – a great idea is to arrive unshaved and bring your razor. We can take some take some outdoorsy type photos first, you can have a shave and then go for a clean look.
The Shoot
Different packages have different allocated times (please see ‘Pricing’) but I’m happy to extend this in order to get those shots that are going to really stand out and find you that amazing role! I don’t operate a headshot factory by running sessions ‘back to back’.
Working together and with my help and guidance we will create a great set of images. As an experienced portrait/ headshot photographer I know exactly how to make you look your best whilst showing the real you. I like to create a very relaxed environment in my studio and we can take breaks to review your images on the way. Tea and biscuits are always available!
Choosing your images
On the evening of your shoot I will make an initial selection of images that will go onto your web-gallery by the next day. You and/or your agent can make your selection from here. This gallery will remain online for up to three months, so you can make further selections if needed.
Finishing and delivering your images
Your chosen images will be retouched professionally and with a natural feel to remove any temporary skin blemishes bearing in mind that casting directors prefer to see a true representation. Your image files will then be uploaded to a Dropbox folder within a week from your initial selection for you to download. You will have a print resolution folder (files sized to 10x8in) and a separate low resolution folder for screen sized images, ideal for online Spotlight or Casting Call Pro galleries.
