I love working in the family portrait studio and that’s where I will be most Saturdays. Yesterday was an exception and I like a bit of variety.  Firstly a wedding photography commission in Lewes, Sussex. Susan and Colin were married at Lewes Town Hall, it’s a beautiful venue but full of its own challenges in terms of lighting, it’s great to be ‘out there’ and thinking on my feet as you do when working as a wedding photographer.

The ‘formal wedding photographs’ and couple shots were taken at Southover Grange just down the road. It too is a lovely venue for a wedding reception and we were blessed with great spring like weather, it is almost June and the cherry blossom was still out.

Then it was back home for quick change into my festival clothes and wellies and off to the Meadowlands festival at Glynde. I had a commission to provide the website and brochure images for one of the vendors The Cosmic Caravan (they provide highly nutritious and tasty organic food for festival goers.

It’s all work, but in the gaps I managed to fire off a few snaps of the event
